Secret Post Club time again! Yippee! And, as I've just admitted being appallingly behind on my thank you posts, I thought I'd start with this one.
My secret sender, Mirel J, sent me this:
She's a huge Beatles fan, so she's sent me a cd she's made herself of her favourite Beatles tracks, as well as a handmade friendship bracelet.
Thank you to Mirel! Who, weirdly, I must have walked past a million times in the street (possible slight exaggeration there, but not by much) as it turns out she works in the same London square I used to. I'm finding it distinctly odd to think that I've seen her, I've probably smiled at her, she's sent me a present, but I still don't know who she is....)

Ingratitude
I'm not talking about anyone else. I'm not talking about someone I gave a lovely present to who hasn't thanked me. I'm not even talking about the client who when I rang him up to tell him £40,000 was coming his way, told me he was too busy to talk to me...
Nope. That's me in the title.
I'm an ungrateful so and so.
I blame it on my parents. It's all their fault. If I hadn't had a birthday so close to Christmas, I'd have had to write two sets of thank you letters a year instead of just one. I'd have had twice the practice and would, as a consequence, be twice as polite, twice as effective, and probably, twice as popular.
Which is not to say that I'm not grateful. I am. I'm just lazy.
Which is, in fact, a roundabout way of saying that over the last (eek) three months lots of people have sent me lots of lovely stuff*, and I have yet to say thank you for it. Or indeed, tell them (and you) what I thought.
Over the next couple of weeks, that's all going to change... you have been warned.
* though sadly no free trips to Florida, or indeed W1 here...

Secret Post Club - May
I like to think of myself as idiosyncratic. In my head, I am who I am, and who I am is, if not eccentric (those you know me may prefer to go with "weird"), certainly individual. Sadly, the lovely Sarah, who is a supersinglemum, has blown that out of the water by knowing me far too well. And she's never met me.
She sent me some of this:
and this book, about a lawyer who jacks it all in and becomes a home-maker (horrible phrase, but she's a housekeeper, and I'm not, so the overlap word probably has to be that one):
and a very large bar of this. Which clearly is no longer with us. Other than round my hips of course:
She could only have got me more spot on - mangled hands from the unpacking, new life, chocolate habit - if she'd added a large bottle of wine. But that would have blown the budget, so as it is, it's perfect. Thanks so much to Sarah, and to Heather as always.

and one of these (although not exactly like this, but I've taken it out of its lovely case now, and forgot to take a picture of it while it was all pretty and not scattered across the bathroom, so I'm cheating with the picture):

Secret Post Club - April
Check this out!
This is my Secret Post Club Parcel from the lovely Helen (I've been cyber stalking her - she didn't actually put her name on my parcel, but it's on her blog...) at Icklebabe.
Just look at it: See the lovely stripey bag she's wrapped it in, and the little ribbon with its button that she's put on the corner, and the envelope which has a sparkly card inside, and then the beautiful hand made lavender bags, with more stunning ribbons and cute buttons. Seems a shame both that you can't smell them (they're tantalising my nose as I type) and that they're going to end up in my distinctly underwhelming underwear drawer. Oh well, maybe I'll have underwear to match one day...
A million thanks to the very clever Helen, who has some even more amazing things on her website. And even more thanks to Heather who has once again done an amazing job and who I hope is sent something utterly lovely this month.

Secret Post Club - March
I've been shamefully late in posting about March's Secret Post Club Parcel - but that's not through lack of gratitude! I received, about a week ago now, a lovely set of goodies. A beautiful card, a delicious sanctuary spa gift box and a handmade notebook.
The sender? Why that was the lovely Hayley at Single Motherhood Challenges who, bless her, had put them together to help me "relax and hone in on some creativity" during the move. I'm therefore being a good girl and not cracking open the Sanctuary stuff until we're actually there. But you can be assured. First bath in the new house? I'll be Sanctuaried up.... As for the notebook and the creativity. I suspect it may actually be used for lists, but no less appreciated for it!
Thank you so much to Hayley, and to Heather (as always) for organising.
