The meaning of art

S brought this home from nursery yesterday...

...prompting one of those sentences I swore, in pre-children days, I wouldn't use:

That's lovely, sweetheart! What is it?
 A model.
I can see that. What's it a model of?
Bottle tops.

I'm thinking we'll leave debating figurative vs. abstract art for a few more years.

  1. I refer you to 'Cadbury Fingers box attached to white paper' that Mr T posted on Facebook. Their talent knows no bounds.

    1. It'll be worth a fortune in years to come. Maybe.

  2. Ah the joy of gluing and sticking. I went to an event a while ago with a child art person and they told me to ask lots of open questions about the art. Such as "that is lovely, tell me about it?"

    1. I tried that today.

She said "I don't want to tell you".

I know. I'm sorry. I hate these word recognition, are you a robot, guff things too, but having just got rid of a large number of ungrammatical and poorly spelt adverts for all sorts of things I don't want, and especially don't want on my blog, I'm hoping that this will mean that only lovely people, of the actually a person variety, will comment.

So please do. Comments are great...
