If you have enough to eat, and a safe place to sleep, and nobody wants to kill you or take you from your family, you are among the most fortunate few of a troubled world, and you should never forget your sheer luck.I read this in August 2010 and in response have decided to donate 10% of my not enormous income (I am working as a consultant for my former law firm, averaging about 12 hours a month, which is great for fitting in childcare, but not so great for earning pots of cash) to charity every month. Each month I am going to blog about the charity, and each month I will link back to it here.
If you click on the month below you will get the post I wrote, and if you click on the charity name you will be taken to the charity's donation page.
I'm not asking anyone to do anything, but I am hoping that any publicity these amazing organisations can get is good publicity.

What a fantastic idea! I think it is so important to raise awareness of just how many poor innocent kids are dying each day. I honestly believe that if more people knew that 21,000 children under the age of 5 die each and everyday from preventable causes, then more would be done to help stop this from happening. Well done you for what you are doing! xxx
