Tweed to Tokyo

That's our adventure.  Summer 2020, we're going to the Olympics.   All six of us.   Overland.

For the millions of questions: the what, the how, the why.

The which route?
The what about their education?
The how do we get from there to there?
The which visas do we need?
The can we really go there?
The can we really not go there?
The what happens to the house?
The how on earth are we going to pay for it?
The what on earth are we thinking?

Well, we haven't worked any of those out yet, so feel free to let us know what you think.

And for all of the answers and more; you've got seven years to watch this space.

    1. You do realise that the only reason I'm putting all this out there is because then we'll *have* to do it...

  5. Oooh - sounds fantastic!

I too am in awe of anyone who plans 7 years in advance. I can barely see past the end of my nose most days.

My partner said that when he was growing up there was a boy who moved to Toronto from Scotland I think. His family had lived in Afghanistan (his dad was with the British Army) and when they were done, they drove back to the UK. And then immigrated to Canada (I think).

And growing up in Middle East, I heard of people who chose to drive back to the UK. At least you have the internet and GPS to help you find your way!

    1. I'm not sure you'd call what we've done "plan"...

And you forget that I'm a luddite who doesn't believe in GPS. We're going to go to Stanfords (running a close second to Waitrose - which wasn't what this post was about but seems to have hijacked it anyway) and buy lots (and lots) of maps....

Although you probably have absolutely no idea what either Waitrose or Stanfords is of course. So forgive me.

Or if you really want to know, go here www.stanfords.co.uk or here www.waitrose.com (although neither is even close to the off-line version).

I know. I'm sorry. I hate these word recognition, are you a robot, guff things too, but having just got rid of a large number of ungrammatical and poorly spelt adverts for all sorts of things I don't want, and especially don't want on my blog, I'm hoping that this will mean that only lovely people, of the actually a person variety, will comment.

So please do. Comments are great...
