The subject, then, was I am grateful for...
And, that day, I was grateful for this:
Now here we are. Two years later. And on 31 May 2013 Tara set a new Gallery theme. It is Two:
And so is my boy:
I am still grateful.
PS: He got two cakes, too:
Now click this link to see other people's take on two....
Great way to commemorate year two. What a beautiful newborn he was!
ReplyDeleteStill beautiful.... (I'm his mother!)
DeleteAww love the cakes - 2 is a lot of fun isn't it?
ReplyDeleteUntil it gets terrible... Actually he's pretty good at the moment, but I am bracing myself for a surge of independence and testosterone.
DeleteAww you. That gave me goosebumps.
ReplyDeleteAll down to you - anyone would have thought you'd planned it!
DeleteLovely.
ReplyDelete(The boy AND the cakes!)
Quite proud of both (all three?)
DeleteYay what a fab take on the 2 concept :-) (i have done a similar one)
ReplyDeleteGreat minds... off to check you out shortly!
DeleteHe's gorgeous - and he's a very lucky boy to have 2 cakes. I'm not joking about the cake class when I see you next, by the way - I need your help! x
ReplyDeleteI am now taking bookings for the summer holidays...
DeleteOh he is adorable. You make rather scrumptious children dear!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
DeleteSadly though I have this theory that cute children make rather average looking adults, but hey ho, he's having his glory days now!
Oooh I LOVE that car!
ReplyDeleteI just bought my two and half year old Richard Scarry's "Cars and Trucks and Things that go" and he spends the entire time pointing at all the vehicles saying "I want that for my birthday". Coz one time I asked him which one he wanted for his birthday cake. I'm slowly beginning to regret that question.
I'm with carrotcrush - lessons please? Don't suppose you could do a step-by-step lesson on your blog eh?
Beautiful photos!
That book was his absolutely favourite birthday present - just had to wrench it off him to put him to bed!
DeleteStep by step lesson to follow next time I have to make one! But in the meantime the top tip is to freeze your cake before cutting into shape and chill it a lot once the butter icing's on. (Learnt that off the net last week!). Oh, and the car cake I got off youtube - can't remember what she's called but she's Israeli and I just searched for car cakes...
Beautiful photos! The cakes look amazing too
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI cant believe that was two years ago!
ReplyDeleteAm I making you feel old?!
DeleteHe doesn't need TWO cakes - I'll relieve you of either one ;)
ReplyDeleteLove those little neck nape curls!
All gone cake (as the birthday boy said, rather sadly, yesterday).
DeleteSorry!
And I love his curls too - hence why I haven't had his hair cut yet... at what stage does that become parental cruelty, I wonder?
This weeks theme was written for you! Lovely photos :-)
ReplyDeleteI know! I couldn't believe it two years ago, in hospital with my tiny newborn, realising what the theme was then...
DeleteAnd then Tara went and did it again! Thanks Tara!
Lovely boy you have there. I was a bit at sea with a new born, but I loved the toddler stage (all stages, but there is something wonderful about toddlerhood). A baby doesn't make me broody, but a two year old does!
ReplyDeleteLovely post and what a lucky boy, two cakes!
