Win chocolate!

Honestly, was there ever a better title for a post?

How about this one:

Win seriously nice luxury chocolate!

Yup, Hotel Chocolat chocolate, no less.  To be precise a selection of their stocking fillers.

Tragically, I can't tell you what they taste like, because they didn't send me any.  Instead they sent me their Purist Festive Wreath:  70% cocoa single estate dark arriba chocolate, with golden raisins, almonds and hazelnuts.  It's the platonic ideal of a fruit and nut bar.  Only better.

When it arrived it looked like this:

Now, a week later, it looks like this:

And yes, we did need the knife to get through it.

Thank you, Hotel Chocolat.

So, if you want to find out if the Tipsy Christmas Puddings or Piglets in Blankets (clearly too good for the children) are just as good, leave me a comment giving me a better title for a post (any post), and I'll pick a winner at random  next Friday (30th) and get someone's December off to a very chocolatey start.

ps and if anyone's wondering how this fits with my self-flagellating post about food of earlier this month, consider it whatever the opposite of aversion therapy is...

  1. Oooh! Oooh! I've got a title for you... It could be a follow up to your 'self flagellating' post, and you could call it:

'Quality Chocolate; pesky impediment to effective weight control, or useful source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants? Discuss...'

(It's probably too long but you get the idea) And look, there's even a research source here:

BTW - I would be in the UK to collect a prize. Just in case, you know, I won anything...

    1. I've been researching the effect of anti-oxidants on my online Christmas shopping this evening, as it happens. Turns out it makes me terribly efficient, but isn't very easy to get out of the cream sofa.

      Whoops.

    1. Hmm. Interesting moral question. It's going to be random selection again, so if you *do* win, do I have to put you back in the pot. And if I do that, it's not random any more, is it?

  6. Hmmm.... Where I hid the chocolate so the kids didn't eat it?

    1. A secret: they asked me if I wanted that one or the milk chocolate version, and I might have asked for the dark one purely on the basis that the kids *wouldn't* eat it.

      Am I a bad mother?

But disgrace on the search engines indeed. This is my finest work.

I know. I'm sorry. I hate these word recognition, are you a robot, guff things too, but having just got rid of a large number of ungrammatical and poorly spelt adverts for all sorts of things I don't want, and especially don't want on my blog, I'm hoping that this will mean that only lovely people, of the actually a person variety, will comment.

So please do. Comments are great...
