The Gallery - Red and Yellow and Pink and...

Tara's Challenge for The Gallery this week was colour.

This picture, of a waterfall in Yosemite, was taken when we were there in 2006.  It was amazing.  I hope I've captured the spray and the motion and the rainbow, but you'll just have to imagine the noise, and the coldness of the water, and the warmth of the sun, and the sweaty feeling of achievement at having climbed to the top...

  1. Great picture. We went to Yosemite when we lived in the STates and I was about 8. I've been longing to go back ever since!

  4. I thought this was a sheet of onyx til I scrolled down and read your description - it's gorgeous! Catching rainbows is soooo hard.

Yosemite is way up there on my list of places I simply have to visit, along with Mono Lake, Taransay... it's a long list! :)

  11. Thank you all for lovely compliments - you do realise I'm dragging out all the best pictures for you don't you? If the gallery lasts more than a couple of weeks it'll be back to the hastily taken phone snaps!

And yes, Yosemite was AMAZING! One for a revisit when the girls are a little older I hope.

Oh, and Livi - if you really want a print I can probably get you one, just let me know.

I know. I'm sorry. I hate these word recognition, are you a robot, guff things too, but having just got rid of a large number of ungrammatical and poorly spelt adverts for all sorts of things I don't want, and especially don't want on my blog, I'm hoping that this will mean that only lovely people, of the actually a person variety, will comment.

So please do. Comments are great...
